The 7 offices for Agricultural Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy are held responsible for the following missions in accordance with the 2002 Government rules and regulations laid down by the Permanent Secretary for Agricultural and Cooperatives Office which was signed on October 9th, 2002.

1. Study, analyze, and organize task preparation according to the foreign agricultural policies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
2. Study, analyze, and follow up foreign agricultural policies, standards, and movements.
3. Represent the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in negotiation and finding solutions to the problems of non-tax agricultural products measures, also cooperate with and assist in foreign agricultural affairs.
4. Represent Thailand at international meetings or agricultural international meetings as assigned by the Ministry of Agricultural and Cooperatives.
5. Maintain ties between the Thai government and other international organizations as well as disseminate the information concerning Thai agricultural issues.
6. Collaborate with related departments and support their missions when pertinent or as assigned.
   

ภารกิจของสำนักงานเกษตรต่างประเทศ

สำนักที่ปรึกษาการเกษตรต่างประเทศทั้ง 7 แห่ง มีภารกิจรับผิดชอบในด้านต่างๆที่สำคัญ ตามกฎกระทรวงการแบ่งส่วนราชการของสำนักงานปลัดกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ พ.ศ. 2545 ลงวันที่ 9 ตุลาคม 2545 ดังนี้

1.ศึกษาวิเคราะห์และจัดทำแผนงานตามนโยบายด้านการเกษตรต่างประเทศของกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์
2. ศึกษา วิเคราะห์ ติดตามนโยบาย มาตรการและภาวะความเคลื่อนไหวทางการเกษตรในต่างประเทศ
3. เป็นผู้แทนกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ ในการเจรจาเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาอุปสรรคทางด้านมาตรการที่มิใช่
ภาษีของสินค้าเกษตร รวมทั้งร่วมมือและให้ความช่วยเหลือด้านการเกษตรระหว่างประเทศ
4. เป็นผู้แทนประเทศไทยเพื่อเข้าร่วมประชุมเจรจาในองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ หรือระหว่างประเทศที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ
การเกษตร ตามที่ได้รับมอบหมายจากกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์
5. เสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างรัฐบาล องค์กรต่างประเทศหรือระหว่างประเทศและเผยแพร่ข้อมูลด้าน
การเกษตรของไทย
6. ปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับหรือสนับสนุนการปฏิบัติงานของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องหรือได้รับมอบหมาย
